Being from the West side of Owensboro, I barely go on Highway 54\u2026 and to be honest I don\u2019t mind it at all. I love the city I\u2019m from and I especially love the side that I\u2019m from. I live three blocks from my school, and at most five minutes away from everywhere I want to go. Lately, there has been a lot of talk about how the new restaurants and stores will run the west side of the Owensboro completely out of business. I couldn\u2019t disagree more\u2026 all you have to do is compare the two sides.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\tFor starters\u2026 the best fast food chain in America is Chick-Fil-A, which is in comparison to 54\u2019s Popeyes\u2026 yea, not much I have to say there. What about Drake\u2019s? The brand new sports bar that has been absolutely full every night it\u2019s been open\u2026 with thirteen dollar cheeseburgers. That\u2019s outrageous! South Fredrica\u2019s Buffalo Wild Wings has a great burger for eleven\u2026 maybe just a two dollar difference but when you\u2019re ordering for multiple people with sides and drinks, it makes a bigger difference. There is quite a few more things that make this side better\u2026 The Healthpark is better than Planet Fitness. There\u2019s a lot less traffic. Sam\u2019s Club is better than Meijer. And the mall is on this side! Okay y’all win there. Anyway! Even with that side having Meijer and Cane\u2019s, I\u2019ll take this side every time. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
But that may just be me. Everyone knows I\u2019m opinionated, and I\u2019m the only one cool enough that Mrs. Johnson lets me write in first person for Digital Devil. So, I decided to get some more opinions:
