Senior Job Fair a Success

This year, Owensboro High School introduced a job fair for those in the senior class interested in going straight into the workforce after high school. The job fair offered a variety of booths from businesses in the community that offer jobs to students with a high school diploma. Students that attended the job fair were able to explore several potential job opportunities and ask questions.

The businesses discussed with students the job requirements, pay, benefits, how to apply, and what they would be doing. For example, ____ showed students the materials they would be working with to give them a perspective of what they job would entail.

Helping students be successful adults after high school is the ultimate goal of Owensboro High School. Providing opportunities to explore options besides going to college gives students other ways to create a good life for themselves.
