by Kennedy Jackson Since freshman year, I have been so excited to finally be able to drive by myself. Turns out, the Jokes on me because I didn’t realize the process of a permit and intermediate. So, I barely passed the written test and panicked on thevision test, but low and behold, I got my permit. In my head, I was zooming down back roads with my friends blasting music… but, in reality, I was driving my brother’s SUV with no a/c while he nagged me for driving too slow. Driving is difficult and I have the attention span of a baby squirrel. I went home every day and begged someone to let me drive. My stepmom drives a Mercedes so, that’s always a no. My dad drives a big Heehaw truck that knocks the wind out of me when I try to climb in it, so that won’t work. So, it finally came time for me to find my own car. I dreamt of a Honda Cr-V which was actually impossible tofind and crazy expensive so, I ventured into smaller SUVs. Let me tell yall, car searching is difficult. Apparently, $2,000is too much money for a first car? Who knew? Craigslist was a bust, and I wasn’t lucky enough to have a parent’s hand me down so I searched for days on Facebook for the perfect car.
