Suicide Prevention Week

What Is It?
National Suicide Prevention Week of 2022 is from September 4 – September 10. Suicide Prevention Week was created in 1975 to inform the public about suicide prevention and the warning signs of suicide.
Warning Signs of Suicide:
Talking about: wanting to die, a great deal of shame or guilt, and being a burden to others.
Feelings are: extremely sad, anxious, hopeless, enraged, and unbearable emotional or physical pain.
Changing Behavior:
Some changing behaviors are: making plans or researching ways to die , withdrawing from family & friends, taking dangerous risks, eating or sleeping more or less, and using drugs or alcohol more.
