Vote Kenyata Carbon for Kentucky Mr. Football!

Attention Owensboro High School! We have the opportunity to get behind our very own Kenyata Carbon and cast our votes for him to become Kentucky’s Mr. Football for the 2022 season! This award is essentially the Heisman Trophy of high school football in Kentucky and awards the best football player in the state across all classes.

Kenyata has been a key player for our Red Devils all year, both as both a running back and defensive back. Through his time on the team, he’s built an exceptional statline! Just this year alone, Kenyata’s stats are as follows:

• 1,178 yards with 21 TDs rushing
• 201 yards with 1 TD receiving
• 2 interceptions
• 1 kickoff return TD

While his achievements this season are impressive, Carbon has played an important role in OHS’s success for years. During his time, Kenyata has helped OHS win four consecutive district titles, three straight regional titles, and the 2020 Class 5A runner-up. Although Kenyata was injured for part of the 2021 season, his career stats are outstanding nonetheless:

• 2,021 yards, 36 TDs rushing
• 294 yards, 4 TDs receiving
• 2 kickoff return TDs
• 92 tackles
• 1 sack
• 8 interceptions, with 1 for a TD
