Lots of Socks!

March 21 is World Down Syndrome Day…  Why?  Because people with Down Syndrome have 3 copies of the 21st chromosome making them unique.  We are blessed at OHS to have our lives enriched by some amazing students with Down syndrome   We see them thrive every day included in our school community and treated with dignity, respect and independence.  

Our students at OHS get it!  They recognize we are all more alike than we are different… Tomorrow during Advisory, our students will watch the video With Us Not For Us, the theme of this year’s World Down Syndrome Day!  

#LotsOfSocks campaign is to gain attention and start a conversation about Down Syndrome.  On Tuesday, it’s “Support a Cause” day at OHS.  Wear your crazy socks to support World Down Syndrome Day.
