If you read the first article of this series, and you’re not a camping person, don’t fret. There are many more good options for you! If you don’t care for the tropical setting and want something semi-near Owensboro, I’d go to Tennessee!

Nashville is an amazing place to visit. There are many places to go check out, starting with my favorite, the Johnny Cash Museum! General admission starts at $25.95, not including tax, but it’s worth it to see this shrine to The Man in Black.

Nothing is better than filling your tummy with amazing food after visiting one of the many great tourist attractions in Nashville. But what is the best place to eat? The Diner Nashville is a very good place to hammer some food! It is basic American cuisine, but there are tons of places that offer Chinese, Mexican or whatever your stomach desires! That’s enough about Nashville. Let’s talk about another great Tennessee destination, Gatlinburg.

Gatlinburg is amazing! For lodging, the best place to stay IMO is the Dollywood Cabins, but there are literally thousands of cabins and hotel rooms to find at all price ranges. In addition to the scenery, there are tons of things to occupy your time. One of my favorites is the Westgate Wild Bear Falls Water Park, particularly in the spring because it is indoors! This website is amazing for anything gatlinburg tennessee https://www.gatlinburg.com/things-to-do/!

So if you know where to stay and what to do, where could you eat? Have you ever watched Forrest gump? If you haven’t, you need to, then you need to try the amazing restaurant that is based on the movie, Bubba Gump Shrimp Company. It gets busy, so run, Forest, run! Like pancakes? There is a pancake house on every corner, and if you like shows, there are several dinner theater opportunities.
