OHS Boys Soccer Fall Short in Region Championship

The Owensboro boys soccer team had a heartbreaking loss to the Daviess County Panthers in the Regional Championship. The boys fell short in the second half after only being down 1-2 in the first half.

Of the two goals scored by the Red Devils, the first was scored by Freshman Josh Head. The goal was served in by Austin Sovar from a corner kick. The ball was then settled by Andrew Saltsman and then finally put in by Josh Head

The second goal was a shot from outside the box by senior, Austin Sovar. The pass came from Junior Grayson McFarland via an interception(a pass that was stolen).

Even though the red devils lost, there was a silver lining. Three players from OHS received an award for being All-Region Tournament players. Those players were Zane West, Ryan Black, and Will Clark. This is a great honor to end a great season.
