OHS Cheer Kicks It Into Full Gear

After their Region 2 Runner-Up finish in last week’s competition for KHSAA Regionals, OHS Cheer will take the mat with a lot of momentum on November 19th at Rupp Arena in Lexington, Kentucky for the UCA Bluegrass Regional.

This competition is a big one for this group of athletes! In order to be able to go down to Florida for the National Cheer Competition at Disney World, they must qualify both their Game Day and 2.5-minute routines. This team has worked extremely hard all year long, and are committed to reaching their ultimate goal, which is to compete at the national competition in February.

What are Nationals? 

It’s a 4-day long competition where schools from around the US all go down to Florida to go at a chance for winning a National Title for their team/school. Every year it is hosted at Disney’s Wide World of Sports, and while the main reason for being there is to compete, teams also get to go to the actual parks and enjoy Disney World. It’s a very fun and memorable experience and if you have the chance, please come out and support your OHS Cheer team!!
