This past Friday, November 11, Marvel Studios released Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, the highly anticipated sequel to 2018’s Black Panther. Starring in the new movie, which is getting rave reviews, are Letitia Wright as Shuri, Lupita Nyong’o as Nakia, and Winston Duke as Okoye, as well as other familiar faces and a few new characters.

As most know, the original Black Panther/King T’Challa actor, Chadwick Boseman, passed away of cancer in 2020. With this new film, the cast will undoubtedly work to make Boseman’s/T’Challa’s spirit live on, while also steering this franchise in a new direction. As one can see from the movie poster and in the trailer, Shuri–King T’Challa’s younger sister–is at the center of the action. Will she be the new Black Panther??

If you’re excited to see this new entry in the MCU, be sure to go see Wakanda Forever! You don’t want to miss it!
