The 2022 FIFA World Cup has officially kicked off! On November 20, Qatar and Ecuador started off the quadrennial tournament’s first match, which resulted in a dominating performance from Ecuador, as they proceeded to win 2-0 over the host team. The World Cup is the most watched sporting event on the planet and will be going on for the next month, ending on December 18th. This World Cup is particularly unique because this will be the last World Cup for two of soccer’s all-time GOAT’s, Christiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi.

The USA team this year is one of the youngest teams that we have ever had in a World Cup. They are very experienced for their ages, but many people believe that their overall youth will be a handicap. Their first game will be against Wales on November 21, they will proceed to play England on the 25th and Iran on the 29th. These games will be pretty tough for the young USA team, especially the game against England. We wish them the best of luck, be sure to tune in, and GO USMNT!!!
