Owensboro High School started off their playoff run with a 47-14 win over Greenwood.

To start off the scoring, Sophomore Treyvon Tinsley scored from a 20 Yd Pass from Senior Will Warren (Junior Grayson McFarland Kick) to up the scoring to 7-0.

Next, Senior Will Warren scored on a 1 Yd QB sneak (Junior Grayson McFarland Kick) to double the lead to 14-0.

To start the 2nd quarter scoring, Senior Tre’Von Green scored on a 41 Yd Run (Grayson McFarland Kick No Good) to increase the lead to 20-0.

Senior Tre’Von Green soon scored again, with a 8 Yd Run (Grayson McFarland Kick) to increase the lead to 27-0.

Next, Junior Imonte Owsley scored from a 41 Yd Pass from Will Warren (Grayson McFarland Kick) to, again, increase the lead to 34-0. The Greenwood sidelines were really quiet after this score.

Just like another score wasn’t enough, Junior Jaiden Greathouse scored from a 44 Yd Fumble Return (Grayson McFarland Kick) to up the lead to 41-0 before the first half was over.

After asking Center Logan Webb  about this score, the answer was always shortened to two words, “major slime.”

Unfortunately, the 3rd quarter was a scoring drought for the Red Devils. Greenwood scored after a 1 Yd plunge to shorten the lead to 41-7.

Greenwood would score again in the 4th quarter with a 14 Yd Run to shorten the lead to 41-14.

After this, though, Sophomore Lukas Howell scored on a 75 Yd Kickoff Return (Max Thurman Kick No Good) to finally end the scoring at 47-14.

The Owensboro Red Devils had 277 Total Offense with 185 passing yards and 92 rushing yards. The defense only gave up 113 yards and 14 points to the Greenwood Offense.

Senior Will Warren was 10/13 with 185 yards and 2 TDs. Tre’Von Green had 5 rushed for 77 yards and 2 TDs. Imonte Owsley had 4 receptions for 88 yards and a TD. Treyvon Tinsley had 2 receptions for a TD.

The Defense was led by Junior Cameron Thompson with 5 Tackles and 2 Tackles for Loss. Jaden Kendall had 4 Tackles with 2 Tackles For Loss. Jaiden Greathouse had the fumble recovery for a TD.
