“Super teams” amongst sports have always been a huge deal. General managers for these organizations build the most stacked teams they possibly can, to create super teams that should beat their competitors anytime, anyday. In the NBA for example, the Golden State Warriors, Los Angeles Lakers, and the Brooklyn Nets were all set up to be powerhouses in 2022 and the NBA Finals eventually resulted in Golden State winning against the Boston Celtics. BUT the real focus on super teams should be on a completely different sport, because possibly the most super team of all time calls Paris, France home.

Paris Saint-Germain FC, also known as Paris SG or simply PSG, is a part of the UEFA Champions League. They have multiple worldwide superstars on their team, including Lionel Messi, Kylian Mbappe, Neymar, Donnaruma, Marco Veratti, Sergio Ramos, and Marquinhos. Many of these players have won multiple awards in multiple leagues and tournaments, and after his recent World Cup championship, Messi is widely considered the G.O.A.T. They finished their 2022 season with a super performance of 26 wins, 8 draws, and only 4 losses. And if they keep this roster together, future dominance is a certainty.

There have always been super teams in all sports ever and they are a huge source of entertainment. But Paris Saint-Germain F.C. may be the most super of any super team assembled and it deserves greater recognition. And don’t get me wrong, they get a good amount of recognition in other countries that support soccer more, but they really do deserve to be a greater part of all discussions on the topic of the most super super team of all-time.
