After a long, hard fought game, the Eagles scored a heart wrenching goal in the middle second half to beat the Devils.

After a game of minimal shots, the Devils had chances to score, but again the luck went the way of the Eagles. The Eagles scored after a shot deflected off goalkeeper Radley Worth and right into a Apollo Eagle for the open net goal.

After asking Senior Will Clark about the performance of the team on Thursday night, he added “We possessed pretty well and had more opportunities than them. We had trouble putting the ball away but with time we will definitely be able to start turning our shots into goals. They were a fast and physical team. I think we did a good job defending that.”

The Devils bounced back with a 3-0 win vs. Graves County on Saturday Afternoon.

This Thursday, August 23rd, the Red Devils battle cross town rivals, Daviess County Panthers, for the second game of the district. Everyone show out and cheer on your soccer team!
