Devils pay close attention to Coach Drake during their timeout.

After a convincing win at Daviess County against the Panthers, the Red Devils were ready to keep the ball rolling and beat the Panthers a second time.

Around the start of game time, people started rolling in and the players were warming up. The Red Devils looked confident coming out, and they carried that momentum through the start of the game.

The Devils played the defensive press the whole game. With this press, players like Monte Owsley and Darrion Wimsatt had DC’s point guards looking confused and nervous.

Senior Darrion Wimsatt led the Devils scoring with 18 points. Freshman Gavin Wimsatt had 13 points. Sophomore Amari Wales added 11 points and Junior Jaiden Greathouse added 10 points.

After asking Darrion about how it feels to be first and undefeated in the district, he said “It feels good to be undefeated in the region. If we continue to play together as a unit and play hard, the rest will take care of itself.”

With an undefeated record in the district, the Devils look to continue their dominance of the district with both Apollo and Catholic at home. The Apollo game is Feb 1, 2019 at 7:00 PM. The Catholic game is Feb 8, 2019 also at 7:00 PM.

Homecoming is on friday. We battle Evansville Bosse this Friday, Jan 25, 2019 at 7:30 PM. The dance will begin afterwards.
