Devils pay close attention to Coach Drake during their timeout.

The Owensboro Red Devils put the beat down on the 3rd ranked team in the state of Indiana, the Bosse Bulldogs.

In the first quarter, the Devils outscored the confused Bulldogs 27-11. This scoring outburst got the home crowd on their feet.

The Devils finished the half 43-31. Senior Darrion Wimsatt and Sophomore Amari Robinson-Wales were hitting shots with freshman Gavin Wimsatt doing the dirty work underneath the basket.

Bosse looked dazed and intimidated by the guard play from the Devils. Darrion Wimsatt sliced through their defense, allowing for more holes to open up, and dishing it to the open man. The final score ended up being 67-55.

Senior Darrion Wimsatt led the scoring, again, with 20 points. Sophomore Amari Robinson-Wales added 16 points and Freshman Gavin Wimsatt 16 points with 8 rebounds.

“It definitely shows what we are able to do when we come out ready to play and play hard all 4 quarters” Freshman Gavin Wimsatt says after asked if this is a sign of good things to come.

With this convincing win, the Devils have shown that they are the best team in the 3rd region. The Devils play the other top team in the region, Breckinridge County, at Breckinridge County Tuesday January 29, 2019 at 7:00 PM. The drive is only an hour away; go support your local Red Devils with this big game against the 18-2 Fighting Tigers.
