Cross Country Season Coming to an End

On Saturday, October 27^th, the OHS boys and girls cross country teams ran in the Kentucky Class AAA regional meet at Yellow Creek Park. The season ended on a good note with many runners achieving season best times. Among the runners who set season best times were Gavin Miller (12^th), Tres Farmer (8^th), and Clayton Rhoads (11^th).

For most of the team, this was the last race of the season; however, Michael Ashley, a junior at OHS, qualified for the state meet: state meet will be run in Lexington at the Kentucky Horse park on November 3^rd. “I’m glad my hard work payed off and I get to run with the elite runners at state.” Said Ashley. Many OHS runners will travel to Lexington in support their teammate as he runs this Saturday. “My team is more than a team, they’re like family and I want to support Michael because of that.” Said Kobe Fitzgerald, an OHS senior on the cross country team.
